If task 1 needs to completed before task 2. Task 2 will not show up on the task list (or will be grey vs black) until task 1 is complete. Once task 1 is complete it will notify the assignee of task 2 that it is ready. When setting the dependency up I would like it to allow us to create a due date based on number of days this task is due after the dependency is completed.
