Often, I write notes and forget to click save. Or I click out of notes to grab a link or view something else pertinent to the notes. If I don't click save, everything I updated disappeared. It would be nice to have them auto save.

I think this is the #1 reason I don't really use the notes feature. At least give a prompt if you're closing and it hasn't been saved. If you so much as click outside the box it will close and not save.

Ben Stein Could you also add this to the Details tab? 
And add an indicator that the note was saved?  I tested this on notes, and it did save, but I didn't know that it saved before I clicked out. 
I should have mentioned that in my original request :)
