Client Info>Notes w/sub tabs

It would be so awesome in the Client Info>Notes section to be able to have customizable tabs so you could have a real resource library for each client. I say "customizable" but if that's too complicated, then something like "banking" "general" "Vendors," etc. This would allow the notes you need to be found more easily.

I want to bump this one again. I came to canny today specifically to request this! I would love to group the notes by like items. I would even go as far as to be able to make a templated note structure for those categories you have with each client. I mean, at least let us add tags.

Reiterating my support for this! I have notes in google keep and other places but would be great to keep in keeper! But I need more robust options, such as categories, so it is not just a long massive list of notes!

I am happy to see this is in review! I am trying to move all my client notes to keeper, from all over the place currently (mostly google Keep, but also google-sheets and sticky notes!) It would be great to have headings or categories or tags, etc., so that it is not just a random collection of notes!

I'd love to have a more robust notes section. I'm looking for an option now for my team. I would love to have a tool that would allow team members to leave simple notes about closes so that I can be kept up to speed and not disconnected from files.
What I need is something that would let me sort by month so I could read through all the client month end notes.
Then have the ability to sort by client and go back through the month end close notes of previous closes for the same client.

Is it possible to Password Protect a Note? And/or give Only specific users access.

The categorization/tabs for notes is a great idea. I use the client notes all the time and the list of notes grows long for each client. Adding some organization would help in reducing the amount of time scrolling through a long list for a particular topic. Some topics have more than one note which is another argument for grouping notes by category.
For example, I documented 2022 payroll notes separately from 2023 payroll notes for some clients, because many changes occurred from one year to the next. Putting notes for both years in the same note makes research cumbersome, once again scrolling/reading to find the info I needed.
Benefits is another example where I end up with multiple notes for one client. The details for insurance, multiple retirement accounts, etc can be cumbersome, if I have to put it all on one note.
Tax Status, Tax Preparer and Legal Entity is another example where I end up with multiple notes. Clients change their tax status. Tax issues arise causing the need to document historical tax complications. Tax Preparers have nuances that I like to document so that I know best way to communicate with them. Clients reorganize their legal entity. All of these subjects could be housed under a single category since they are somewhat related, but you get the idea. It's just another example where we end up with multiple notes for one over arching category.

It would be great if it could also have Check boxes for quick tasks and assignments.

That's a great idea. Could we add to that - a button on the client page to access the NOTES section (much like you just added client details. We use the NOTES somewhat like a wiki - one click access would be a game changer 🥳
