Delete a recurring task - without it deleting recurrance

Sometimes recurring tasks get behind - vacation, sickness.....and they are on a daily or multiple time a week schedule I'd like to delete the post instead of having to mark it complete as that is misleading when you look at work completed. The only way to not loose the recurrence of the task is to mark it complete right now. Let us delete without loosing the task all together.

This is one of the first things I noticed would be useful. Kevin, thanks for the great workaround.

Agreed, thus would be very helpful.

We setup two fake users name "Not Done" and "Not Applicable" to work around this very issue. We choose them as the having completed the task.

Kevin Thurman: So you create a user named "N/A", assign it to that task, and mark it as done?

K.C. Eames that's exactly what I did- I created a user called 'Skipped Task' and the profile picture is the 'do not' symbol. Any task that is not relevant to that close gets the skipped task user and marked done
