Custom Names for Close/Tax Suite Sections/Features/Trackers
I love the concept of the "Tax return tracker" so clients can easily see the status of this work. My firm doesn't actually offer tax prep services, but we work closely with CPAs to prepare the books for the year and then hand off for filing. We also work with many nonprofits and will work with auditors on the annual audit and 990 filing. I would love to be able to update the language/wording (both on the firm and client portal sides) to reflect this type of work more accurately. For instance, if my nonprofit client wants to know the status of our year-end review and audit support work, I would like them to be able to click on what is now called the "Tax returns" section of their portal but instead have it be called something like "Year-End Review & Audit Support." And the rest of the language/wording/statuses on that tab to be customizable to those types of services as well. the same goes for our small business clients who do need to file taxes, but instead of the portal language indicating that we are filing the tax return, it would instead reflect the work we do in collaboration with CPAs to make sure the year-end work is complete, wrapped up, and handed off. It would be great if we could have similar status trackers for things like: -monthly close & reporting -sales & use tax filings -business compliance tasks (annual registrations, licensing, etc.) -ad-hoc projects (bookkeeping cleanup, employee onboarding, new account registrations etc.)
